Hospice Casa Albert Project
Asociatia
Lumina is Cry In The Dark's charity name in Romania. The Hospice Casa Albert
Project is staffed by employees of Asociatia Lumina; dedicated
individuals recruited from Romania.
The Hospice Casa Albert Project, situated in the Bacau region of
NE Romania, is currently providing community palliative care to a growing number
of children and young people with incurable physical conditions with poor life
expectancy, for example, childhood cancers or leukaemia, congenital conditions
such as muscular dystrophy, and HIV/AIDS.

a better idea of how we will be meeting the children's and young people's needs.
The children that we are reaching through the project, and their families and
carers, live with the constant threat of their eventual deterioration, fatal infections
and premature death. Current health and social care provision is grossly inadequate
and the children and families are left to struggle alone and isolated. (Click
